A couple of PS5 restocks have already taken place this week. If you missed those drops, there is still a chance that you might be able to get one of Sony's next-gen consoles from another retailer today.
Here is a breakdown of the latest PS5 restock information.
Amazon PS5 Restock
The only PlayStation 5 units that are currently available from Amazon are second-hand.
If you are willing to shell out for one of these used consoles, then bear in mind that you will likely need to pay above the recommended manufacturer's price for it.
This is because most of the PS5s being traded on the Amazon marketplace are from third-party scalpers, who will stockpile units and then resell them later for an inflated rate.
For example, there is a used PS5 listed on the site right now for $890. To clarify, this is a standalone product that does not ship with any extras, like games, peripherals or accessories.

Walmart PS5 Restock
On Friday, September 24, Walmart organized a complete restock of its next-gen console inventory.
For a brief period of time, shoppers were able to pick up either the disc or digital editions of the PS5 (as well as the Xbox Series X) for their recommended manufacturer's prices. However, as is always the case, these supplies were quickly depleted, and you can no longer add any of the items to your cart.
This means that the only way to get a PS5 from Walmart now is to buy a second-hand unit, some of which cost upwards of $900.
Walmart tends to coordinate its restocks every other Thursday at 3 p.m. ET but, as last week's events proved, this is not a hard and fast rule and there are occasional deviations from that pattern.

Newegg PS5 Restock
The PS5 is available from Newegg today.
That being said, you will not be able to buy the console in a straightforward transaction and will instead have to enter the latest shuffle draw. If your name is successfully chosen at random here, then you will be able to complete the purchase. This is how Newegg distributes its most in-demand electronic items.
The PS5 in question is available in a bundle with an extra DualSense controller, for a cost of $574.98.

PS Direct PS5 Restock
Sony's official storefront was selling the PlayStation 5 on Tuesday, September 28.
From 6 p.m. ET, customers had the opportunity to join PS Direct's virtual queue and try to grab either the disc or digital edition of the sought-after console. The former was going for the standard $499 cost, while the latter was more cheaply priced at $399.
This restock lasted longer than most, with the units officially selling out at around 6:50 p.m. ET. With that being said, PS Direct's inventory is now thoroughly depleted again.

Best Buy PS5 Restock
Best Buy was recently selling the PS5 in select "flagship" locations across the country.
This was an in-store only restock, meaning that you had to physically get in line at one of the participating outlets if you wanted to be in with a chance. You could not reserve an order ahead of time on the website, nor could you get a bundle delivered to your home.
This event took place on Thursday, September 23 and since then there have been no subsequent PS5 drops at Best Buy (either in store or online).

Target PS5 Restock
It is hard to predict when Target might have the PS5 available. Lately, the merchant's restock pattern has been fluctuating, with drops taking place at irregular intervals on inconsistent days of the week.
There is no official word on when the next restock might occur, but we can narrow it down a little by observing that most Target drops land sometime between 7 a.m. ET and 8 a.m. ET. As such, we would recommend that you keep an eye on the retailer's website in the early hours of the morning.

GameStop PS5 Restock
As we reported in our previous update, GameStop was due for a restock on Tuesday, September 28 and the outlet did not disappoint.
There were multiple PS5 deals to choose from on the day, including four separate bundles for the disc edition and another one for the all-digital model.
As per usual, only "Power Up Pro" members were eligible to purchase any of these items from GameStop. If you want to be prepared for this next time, you can sign up for the loyalty scheme on the merchant's website for an annual fee of $14.99.
